Ingredients:
- Two bottles of shiraz
- Two cups of water
- Juice of two lemons
- 145g granulated sugar
- Six cloves
- Two cinnamon sticks
- Two oranges cut into bite sizes
Method:
Pop all ingredients – except for the wine – into a big pot. Get this to boil for 10 minutes. Switch off the heat, either test the temperature, which we should get to at least 70°C, or wait a couple of minutes. Now, stir in the wine. The reason we take this route, by adding the wine after the boil, is to ensure that the alcohol does not evaporate… trust us on this.
