Aquelle Joburg North City Marathon

Date: Saturday, 10 February 2024.

Distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 40km.

Run Zone presents the aQuelle Joburg North City Marathon 2024. This event has been approved as a qualifier for Two Oceans 2024 and Comrades 2024. Walkers are welcome! Entries close on 7 February 2024 at midnight or when the race capacity has been reached.

Jeppe Marathon

Date: Sunday, 11 February 2024.

Distances: 10km, 21km and 42km.

This iconic race boasts a rich historical legacy and holds a prominent place on the Central Gauteng calendar, serving as a perennial favourite for runners. The route, a challenging two-lap course winding through Bedfordview and Edenvale, remains unchanged, promising to test the mettle of all who dare to take on the challenge. As a special incentive, the first 4000 entrants will receive a complimentary race shirt, adding an extra layer of excitement to an already thrilling evet.

Randburg Harriers 10km Valentine’s Race

Date: Friday, 16 February 2024.

Distance: 10km.

The Randburg Harriers Running Club’s original romantic Valentine’s night race is a fun and exciting way to get your heart racing! And if you are looking for an endorphin boost, we recommend taking part in the race! Furthermore, it’s going to be an absolutely beautiful evening outdoors as participants watch as they light and launch lanterns into the air. Don’t forget to dress up to add to the Valentine’s spirit and festivities!

Pirates 21K

Date: Sunday, 18 February 2024.

Distance: 21km.

Are you tough enough for Joburg’s Toughest Half? This must-do run on the annual calendar comes with lots of Pirates gees, FREE technical tees and goodie bags for first 1900 entrants, and medals for all finishers.

Pretoria Marathon

Date: Sunday, 25 February 2024.

Distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 40km.

The race is a double-lapper, winding through leafy streets of jacarandas and climbing up to historic Fort Klapperkop, with its spectacular views of the city bowl and the Union Buildings. If you’re in luck you may spot zebras and wildebees alongside the road, before dropping down to Fountains Circle. Dig deep for a push up to Brooklyn when the route takes you through the grounds and past the beautiful old buildings of Pretoria Boys High School, and then back to the finish at the PBHS Old Boys Club.

Edenvale Marathon

Date: Sunday, 3 March 2024.

Distances: 5km, 15km, and 42km.

The Edenvale Marathon is an official Two Oceans and Comrades Marathon qualifier. Marathon qualifying times will be calculated on a mat-to-mat basis. The first exciting change for the event is that they have included the 15km Blitz (new route), the second change is they have upgraded the 5km to be an official race coupled with the Fun Run. All finishers get a medal!

Cradle Cracker 2024

Date: Sunday, 10 March 2024.

Distances: 5km, 10km, 15km, 21km and 28km.

The Cradle Cracker is a 2-race road race series that starts and finishes at Teak Place Estate. The route will be reversed for each race, promising a fresh challenge and a unique experience for every runner. If you are looking for a race that is fun, safe and challenging, then get ready to embrace the new, exhilarating Cradle Cracker series!

Beyers Greenstone Run 2024

Date: Sunday. 24 March 2024

Distances: 5km and 8km.

On your marks, get set, and release your inner cheetah! It’s the 3rd annual Beyers Greenstone Hills Chocolate Run! Mark your calendars as we celebrate cocoa and conquer those Greenstone hills (together, of course).
