Having popped up at vegan markets across Joburg, The Vegan Chef started gaining popularity with their tantalising food for the soul. Offerings included Fried Chickn, Sticky Wings, Vish Cakes and Beyond Meat Burgers. After their huge success in satisfying vegan cravings, it was time to find a permanent home, which they did - in Midrand, Benoni and Craighall.
The Vegan Chef Midrand
Located at CoSpace in Midrand,
this branch of TVC was the first. They provide delicious cruelty-free vegan comfort food and cater for functions. Popular menu items include the Sticky Chickn Wings, Southern Fried Chickn Pieces, Vacon, Vegan Doughnuts and Vegan Waffles on a Stick. If Midrand is too far a drive, you can order your vegan delights on Uber Eats and Mr Delivery, or you can stop by at one of their new branches in Craighall and Benoni.

The newly opened
Craighall branch of The Vegan Chef is the home of vegan pizza in Joburg. With their own wood burning pizza oven, their menu has over 10 pizza options. Some choice options include the Margarita, 3 Cheeses, Tropical, The Beyond Pizza and BBQ Rib. If this isn't enough to sate your appetite, try one of their decadent cakes of the day. Filled with creamy lush icing, these sponges are a must-try!
The Vegan Chef Benoni
For many years, vegans of the East Rand have been envious of their northern counterparts' close proximity to all things vegan. But no more, because there is now a vegan restaurant right in Benoni.
TVC Benoni offers all the vegan indulgences you could ever want, from plant-based toasties, gourmet burgers and samoosas to hotdogs, wraps and all day bagels.
