The WhiskyBrother Bar in the Morningside Shopping Centre on Rivonia Road, Sandton, is solely dedicated to whisky where connoisseurs can learn more about it, share their experiences, taste a wide range of international and local varieties, and meet other whisky lovers to grow the local whisky community.
It boasts a tasting room for eight people, while 28 people can be served at the bar itself. According to Marc Pendlebury, one of the owners, the bar was designed as a shrine to whisky, incorporating whisky-related materials to offer a smart and comfortable setting to showcase a growing selection of 865 whiskies from various countries, styles and categories.
“We are very excited and proud to offer this addition to the local whisky scene. WhiskyBrother was established to fulfil the needs of passionate whisky drinkers and we believe that the WhiskyBrother Bar will add to the unique whisky-only experience we offer,” says Pendlebury.
He says the bar will offer whiskies at prices that range from R25 to R6 600 per tot. These whiskies come from sixteen countries, with a total of 657 varieties from Scotland alone.
The bar’s two limited annual membership options, where members can choose between the Copper and Oak memberships, have already been sold out.

From private groups with as few as two people, to large corporate events with over 100 attendees, the bar can assist with any size tasting, and we guarantee your event will be a memorable one. The bar presents whisky tastings several times each week, from one-on-one private tastings to corporate year-end events of over 300 people (no tasting is too big or small).
