About The Blockman 

Adding to a variety of restaurants in Parkhurst, the modernised steakhouse is the brainchild of head chef and owner, Vassilios Holiasmenos. The Blockman serves A-Grade beef that is hand-cut and selected by the head chef, providing you with the “ultimate steak experience”. 

The Greek restaurant, Kolonaki Greek Kouzina and Modena Italian Eatery form part of the culinary heaven on 4th Avenue by the same chef and owner! The aesthetic of the restaurant is as elegantly and effortlessly beautiful as his other establishments.

What to Eat

The menu at The Blockman comprises a wine list, bar menu and food menu. Starters available include snails, confit duck leg, oysters, mussels, chicken livers, burrata and more! Burrata is an Italian dish of mozzarella and cream cheese prepared from cow's milk. The Burrata is served with grilled stone fruit, mint, passionfruit dressing, lemon verbena, and basil oil, making a great appetizer.

Time for mains! A few selections for your main include the fish of the day, duck breast, lamb chops, miso and honey glazed pork belly, spiced roasted cauliflower or the braised beef and turkey. 

The Blockman prides itself in serving signature cut meat. Their signature cut includes rump, fillet and rib eye. This restaurant is perfect for you if you love a good steak! Their servings include the T-bone, sirloin steak, pork ribs, tomahawk, beef ribs and peri-peri baby chicken! But wait, there’s more!

The Blockman also offers premium cuts – local wagyu, jersey and the Black Angus rib eye are available and “SQ – subject to quotation” at the restaurant!

The dessert section has a South African favourite - malva pudding. And of course, they serve ice cream! 

What to Drink

The drinks are created by Alex, the head mixologist and sommelier at the restaurant. Alex creates and mixes your favourite cocktails, and also pairs the great wines with their perfect foods for you! Ever heard of “adult shakes”? Now you can try one at The Blockman. The adult shakes served are the Irish coffee, Don Pedro and the frosted cornflake milkshake.

Expensive taste? Alex will handpick the best bottles in the house, perfect for your sophisticated palate!
