Over 14 million South Africans go without adequate food.
FoodFoward SA – a food banking and redistribution organisation – are geared to address this problem. They connect a world of quality surplus food to a world of need.
As a part of this initiative, for the next 30 days
OneCart will match every donation made to play a part in delivering food to those in need. To encourage their shoppers to be part of this mission, OneCart have launched the option to donate at
checkout on their site. And by the end of April 2020, their app will have also implemented this feature.

About FoodForward SA
Addressing the issues of widespread hunger in South Africa,
FoodForward SA recovers edible surplus food from farmers, manufacturers and retailers for redistribution to registered Beneficiary Organisations (BOs) that serve the poor. This process is called cost-effective model food banking.
FoodForward SA focuses on alleviating hunger and reducing the environmental impact by diverting good quality edible surplus food. Reducing food waste and loss is the third most effective solution for fighting climate change.
