Japanese Tapas At Umami Food Studio

Joburg Admin / May 9, 2019

What Is It?

Tapas is the 'in-thing' in food circles right now. Bite size morsels of goodness with enough to share, what could be better? Now, imagine Japanese style tapas!  Visit Umami Food Studio in Midrand to learn more about this culinary art of Inari sushi this May. This delicacy is made by filling a pouch of seasoned fried tofu with sushi rice. Serve the grilled skewer as a sumptuous meal, a light snack or as a party food. Leftovers can be packed away in a lunch box as Japanese do daily. Come and join Umami Food Studio for a fun and interactive hands-on class. You will learn the four types of Inari sushi, as well as how to prepare Miso soup with tofu and Wakame. In addition to learning new cooking skills, you will also learn the Japanese way to set up a meal and maintain perfect table etiquette. Should you have any food allergies or dietary requirements, please notify the studio in advance. Unfortunately, there will be no vegetarian meal option supplied for this class.
