Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure Park Offers Outdoor Family Fun

Pine Resort Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure Park is an adventure for the whole family. The course consists of 26 obstacles, including six zip lines. Whiz through trees and water slides for 350m as you take in the aerial view of Pines Resort, or wait till night when the course is illuminated by neon lights for a Tron-like thrill.

It should take you 30 minutes to an hour to complete the course, depending on your Chimp & Zee abilities. A degree of physical fitness is required but you do not have to be Michael B. Jordan. As long as you can run up a flight of stairs, you should be fine. Additional safety stipulations include a minimum height restriction of 1.2m. Children below this threshold will need the explicit content of supervising adults. The maximum weight limit in place for adults is 120kg. There is no charge for spectators but if you get the shakes as a participant and decide to pull out, one of the ground instructors walking around the course will be happy to belay you to the ground, but there will be no refund. For those who are prepared to brave the 2-5m platforms, a continuous belay safety system is permanently attached to the participant.

Safety First, And Zipline Fun

Allow the safety guides to make adjustments to harnesses, carabiners, lanyards, attachments and trolleys instead of attempting them yourself, and please do not go until instructed. For your security, be sure to keep your hands off the top steel cable to which the trolley is attached, and ensure that you are the only person on any given obstacle at any one time. Two people may wait on the platforms but the person in front of you must be safely off the zipline before you start sliding. With that said, try not to hold up those behind you.

Party Time With Pizza And More

Group packages are tailor-made for schools, birthday parties, as well as corporate team-building. By all means, bring a cake to blow out but please note that no other food or refreshments can be brought in. The in-house menu offers pizza, toasties, fries, platters, baskets, rolls, burgers and wraps. Bookings are essential and no walk-ins are allowed. Tickets for one round on the rope course start at R150 at Pick n Pay or on Webtickets online. Combo tickets, that allow entrance to the water park are available in summer only.
