Spend your 67 minutes making a difference — the simple act of recycling can have a BIG impact on our beloved city. Drop off your recyclables at Fibre Circle’s Drop-And-Go bin at Zoo Lake. Honour Madiba’s legacy by giving back to the planet. You can drop off your plastic, cardboard, paper – if it’s recyclable, they’ll take it! A single day, a singular objective, and an abundance of love. Ladles of Love aspires to gather the largest assembly of volunteers dedicating 67 minutes of their time towards volunteering activities that are designed to nourish, nurture and grow small children in need. Ashraful Aid

Give just 67 minutes of your time to uplift lives with Ashraful Aid and DP World Lions! Join them in honoring Nelson Mandela’s legacy through compassion, service, and action. Spend your minutes helping them pack, share, and care. Just this small act of kindness can spark a lifetime of hope. This year, they aim to match and build on their 2024 success by packing 5 000 food parcels, focusing on families led by women, households with children, and elderly individuals.

Mandela Day at Woodrock

Join Woodrock Animal Shelter in honouring Madiba’s legacy through unity, kindness, and action. Make a donation to support animals in need. The Rainbow Nation Tree Tribute allows supporters to write a personal message of love, hope or remembrance on a ribbon to tie to their symbolic tree for just R67.

The FoodForward SA Mandela Day brings thousands of corporates, schools, clubs, families, and individuals together to spend their 67 minutes sorting and packing essential food groceries for those who are food insecure, while fostering unity and collective action toward a shared goal – food security for all.

In the spirit of Madiba, Mall of the South, in proud partnership with SOJO Helping Hands Foundation and their kind sponsors, are coming together to feed and clothe over 2 000 individuals in need. Your small act of kindness can warm a soul, fill a belly, and remind someone that they matter. All donations will be handed to the Momo Upliftment Centre. Boston Rescue Mandela Day 2025 Fundraiser
Mandela Day is always a special day for the Boston Rescue. Support Boston Rescue this year by making a donation, sponsoring a bag of food, signing up as a volunteer, or sharing their posts to raise awareness. They are in need of funds for kennelling, transport, vaccinations, sterilisation, microchipping, and food. They also need support for Facebook ads, which are a vital part of their rehoming efforts.

Bassline FEST 2025

This Mandela Day, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Bassline are joining forces for an unforgettable celebration of music, memory and impact. Bassline FEST will take place at the Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre. The live show will feature powerful performances from Grammy-nominated MÖRDA and the Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir, including a special song dedicated to Nelson Mandela in honour of his legacy.
