FoodForward SA Mandela Day Food Packing Event

This Mandela Day, Thursday, July 18th, 2024, you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the fight against hunger and food insecurity. In honour of Nelson Mandela’s lifelong commitment to service, FoodForwardSA is partnering with organisations across South Africa to address this critical issue.

What Can I Expect From The FoodForward SA Mandela Day Food Packing Event?

You are invited to join them for 67 minutes of volunteer work at one of our FoodForward SA warehouses nationwide. By sorting food items and packing parcels, you’ll be directly helping to provide nutritious meals to those in need. These meals will be distributed to community kitchens, shelters, and centers caring for vulnerable children and the elderly.

Make a difference where you live! We have warehouses in several locations:

Cape Town: FoodForward SA Cape Town warehouse – 21 Polaris Road, Lansdowne.

Johannesburg: Gallagher Convention Centre – 19 Richards Drive, Halfway House, Midrand.

Durban: Durban Exhibition Centre, 11 Walnut Road.

Gqeberha (PE): FoodForward SA Gqeberha warehouse – 8 Woodpecker Street, Cotswold, Gqeberha.

Rustenburg: FoodForward SA Rustenburg warehouse – 10 Ferro Street, Zinniaville Industrial Area, Rustenburg.
