The Sweet Hyper
The Sweet Hyper is the largest sweet shop on the continent, so you'll definitely find what you're looking for! Pop over to the store in Woodmead and lose yourself in the endless aisles of goodies. You can get your hands on jumbo boxes of Oreos and chocolates at wholesale prices, as well as Lindt and imported snacks at some of the best prices we've ever seen. The offerings are jaw-droppingâwhich is great, because you can fit more sweets in your mouth that way.
Sunrise Sweet Markets
When it comes to sweet shops in Joburg, Sunrise Sweets is the spot locals rave about. From fruity jellies to Zombie Chews (and all the chocolate in between), itâs a sugar wonderland with a side of party supplies. You'll find all the treats you need at their stores in the West Rand and Pretoria!
Lindt Chocolate Boutique
No list of candy shops in Joburg is complete without a trip to a Lindt Chocolate Boutique. It's crazy to think that something that started in 1879 in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland has made its way to the edge of Africa, but we're certainly not complaining. We're glad to be able to dabble in the smoothest, silkiest and most chocolatiest chocolate around, and you deserve to do the same. Treat yourself to some Lindt goodness.
Creative Sweets Factory Store
Established in 2002, Creative Sweets is a family business offering top-quality confectionery products that we know you'll love. They import and distribute sweets, biscuits, chocolates, and novelty toys. It's a one-stop shop for all your glucose-fuelled cravings, so head on over to their store in Midrand!
Geldhof Chocolatiers
Itâs impossible to leave a Geldhof store without a bag (or three) of sweet perfection, and frankly, we wouldn't recommend it anyway. This is a chocolate lover's paradise, where you'll find handcrafted chocolates of every iteration and themed goodies you won't be able to get enough of. We don't really need to say more. Check out their newest store at Deco Park in Northriding!
Beyers Chocolate Factory Shop
This is another one for our chocoholics. You can stock up on your favourite Beyers Chocolates at their shop in Kempton Park, and if you'd like to get a little more hands-on, head over to their chocolate factory in Bedfordview. Make your own chocolate, filled and flavoured exactly how you like it! We can't think of a valid reason to miss out on this.
Wedgewood Emporium
Wedgewood is a beloved nougat brand thatâs also proudly South African. Visit the emporiums in Parkhurst and Rosebank to experience the sweeter side of life!
