Spoil mom with a brunch date at oDD Cafe - their gnocchi is some of the best we've ever had. Leafy Greens Fancy a healthy lunch that appears decadent? Head to Leafy Greens in Muldersdrift for some good vegan food in one of the most nature-loving parts of Gauteng. The setting is beautiful and the quiche to die for. Homemade gluten-free granola and chia seeds served with home-made almond milk, goji berries, chopped nuts, hemp seeds, lucuma anti-oxidant powder, raw honey, fresh fruit, bee pollen, nut butter. Yes, that tastes as good as it reads. Craft Out of nowhere Craft has become one of the most visited restaurants in Joburg - and there's a very good reason for that. From smoked bacon and apple slaw to the most amazing milkshakes you have ever seen, they have it all. Cafe De La Creme Pastries and preserves all over the place! Cafe De La Creme is a nifty little eatery that'll whisk your mother away to another place. It's warm and friendly inside and the menu is something to write home about. A winner would be the sesame crumbed chicken strips with mozzarella on a bed of mixed greens with sun dried tomato and avocado served on their in-house baked ciabatta. Il Giardino Degli Ulivi When you take a seat at Il Giardino in the lively 44 Stanley complex you could just as well be anywhere in Italy, relaxing in an olive grove next to a soothing dam with braziers to warm you when the weather turns chilly. The spaghetti aglio olio pepperoncino is a winner in our books. Eat Bistro Fine dining is the name of the game and your mom will be very impressed once you've finished your lunch at Eat in Northcliff. The set menu is fairly pricey but the food is worth every penny. How's about some slow braised pork belly with smoked lentil and vegetables, creamed leek, butternut and a honey spice jus for lunch? Escondido Tapas and Wine It's all in the name. Need we say more than Spanish snacks and Franschhoek vino? It's the best way to thank your mother for everything she has done for you.
