Sweet Easter Treats Await as The Scoop Shop Pops Up at Eastgate Again

Lerato Maimela / March 19, 2026

Eastgate Shopping Centre is bringing back one of its most-loved seasonal experiences this Easter, with Woolworths joining as the official product brand partner for 2026. Following the sweetest debut last year, The Scoop Shop will return to the Strelitzia Court from Wednesday, 1 April to Monday, 6 April, inviting families to step into a whimsical, ice cream-inspired world filled with sweet treats and playful Easter activities. The activation will run daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

A Sweet Little Escape this Easter

At the heart of The Scoop Shop sits a charming café-style house, which this year will be transformed into a welcoming café experience called Scooped with Woolworths. As the official product brand partner, Woolworths will be serving up its much-loved ice cream, with visitors invited to pause for a delicious scoop served in a cone or cup with Easter-inspired toppings. The treat is included in the R50 ticket price and adds a simple, cheerful moment to any day.

The space has been designed to feel relaxed and inviting, giving families a place to wander, enjoy delicious treats, and take in the gentle energy of the Easter weekend. Tickets can be purchased at the activation area.

Play, Create, and Capture the Moment

In addition to the ice cream café, this time, children can now enjoy a series of enthralling Easter activities dotted around the space. The creative crafts corner will keep little hands busy, while a Bounce-inspired hopscotch zone will add some hopping fun. There will also be an egg catch challenge that is sure to get pulses racing.

Families can also visit the build-your-own Easter bouquet station to create a personalised colourful arrangement to take home, while a whimsical meadow photo setting will offer a lovely backdrop for Easter photos.

“The Scoop Shop brought such a cheerful energy to the centre last year, and it was wonderful to see families spending time together in the space,” says Saadiyah Kahn, General Manager at Eastgate Shopping Centre. “We are delighted to welcome it back this Easter and hope it gives visitors another reason to slow down, enjoy a sweet treat, and create happy memories together.”

Participation costs R50 per person and includes one scoop of ice cream with toppings and all activities. Children are welcome to take part in the activities, with adult supervision required.
