Established by young South African businessman Kutlwano Pitso in the heart of Soweto, KONKA has more or less gained cult-like notoriety for being Joburg's new place to be seen. It takes the place of the old Icon Soweto nightclub.
Here you'll find the rich and famous, influencers, socialites, politicians and anybody with a little bit extra to spend! The place is described as an ‘experience’ and plays host to local entertainment personalities like Black Coffee, DBN Gogo, Cassper Nyovest and DJ Maphorisa. Many more artists and DJs have all been seen entertaining masses on the KONKA stage.
The establishment is famously known on social media for expensive bottles of premium alcohol, with some bottles retailing for over R14 000. The cheapest bottle of champagne on the menu can cost you about R1 300. Remember to leave at tip!
