We're All Together, At Home With Global Artist Live Streaming Concerts

A Virtual Concert To Flatten The Curve

With live concerts being cancelled and artists and performers self-isolating during the COVID-19 outbreak that's swept the planet into a frenzy, it truly has become a strange time we're living in. Thanks to a partnership between Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation, international music artists have been live streaming virtual concerts from the confines of their own homes through social media picture sharing platform, Instagram. So far, artists - such as Christ Martin (Coldplay), John Legend and One Republic - have taken to the virtual stage to entertain thousands of people. Together, At Home sessions take place every day across multiple hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLtZ-2e_ZIc&feature=emb_title

Global Citizen + World Health Organization = Winning Team

Global Citizen, the World Health Organization (WHO), and a group of exceptional music artists launched Together, At Home, a virtual music experience to unify people around the world when they may feel isolated by the conditions of COVID-19, and to ask them to start taking meaningful actions on globalcitizen.org/coronavirus to increase funding to the WHO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d7k9M6bUqo Be sure to keep an eye on Global Citizen's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profiles to stay up to date with which artists are streaming when. All times are Pacific Time, so for South Africa, we must add nine hours to the schedule. We will be announcing artists on our social media feeds as well.

But, What Is Global Citizen?

Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. On their platform, Global Citizens learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, take action on those issues, and earn rewards for their actions — as part of a global community committed to lasting change.
