Fine Dining

DW Eleven-13

DW Eleven-13 is one of South Africa's most celebrated fine dining restaurants (and a proper gem of Joburg). This is a modern European inspired restaurant infused with Highveld flavour. Quality over quantity is the name of the game here. The ever-changing dishes on DW's lineup are all prepared with a minimalist approach. With its relaxed environment, this is the place to have a fine dining experience minus all the fancy stuff. Chef Marthinus Ferreira's menu and restaurant is always evolving and incorporating new dishes, aiming to bring you a great dining experience. Click here for more information.

Signature Restaurant

With food that you will be sure to remember, superb international and local wines, and good service, we suggest you make a reservation at one of Sandton’s most fashionable restaurants now. Enjoy Signature cocktails while taking in the view of the African sunset through their floor-to-ceiling windows. Indulge in their imaginative cuisine ideas and flavours from their selection of dishes – from sushi and seafood to their signature dishes, as well as vegetarian, meat and poultry options. Click here for more information.

Maximillien

Situated in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Sandton, join Maximillien for a combination of classic Mediterranean dining with a South African flair. Enjoy a high-quality dining experience of delicious cuisine made from the finest ingredients within a stylish yet relaxing ambience. It's also a perfect spot to take in the scenic views of the city through their floor-to-ceiling windows, or while having sundowners out on their deck. Click here for more information.

Cantare Dinner and Dance

For something unique and refreshingly different, join Cantare Dinner and Dance for a great experience. With an extravagant Las Vegas-style feel, it's definitely the place for a dinner with a difference – enjoy entertainment from their Vintage Varga cabaret shows, or dance the night away. Choose from their selection of pastas, veal dishes, seafood and meats and have a relaxed evening with a dining experience that you will never forget! Click here for more information.

Marble

For meat and flame enthusiasts in love with fine dining, Marble restaurant on Keyes Avenue is Rosebank is the best place to go. You can look forward to quality food full of culture unlike any other restaurant. It's authentically different and scrumptious all at the same time. The menu selections are to die for, and don't even get us started on the dessert and cheese options. But it wouldn't be fine dining without the right wine or champagne to taste, would it? Our pick with a good steak is the Cederberg Five Generations Carbernet Sauvignon. Simply divine. Click here for more information.

Piccolo Mondo

The Michelangelo Hotel is by far one of the most iconic hotels in South Africa. It's fitting then that its restaurant be categorised as fine dining as well. The Piccolo Mondo is one of our favourite places to spoil our taste buds at. In fact, we go there so often that we shot this little video inside the Piccolo Mondo kitchen. Drawing from a classic Italian theme, the menu combines a range of traditional dishes that, under the watchful eye of executive chef Andrew and his team, have been given a modern twist. Click here for more information.

Parc Fermé

This is by far one of the most elegant restaurants in Sandton. Parc Fermé offers a chic yet traditional way of experiencing exquisite cuisine prepared by their Mauritian Executive Chef Atmaram. With its contrasting grey, black and white décor and its mixture of exotic fabrics and textiles, Parc Fermé won’t disappoint the eye. We implore that you have a go at their meat and poultry dishes - fillet, T-bone and oxtail being some of our favourites. You can also enjoy a lighter meal such as Parc Ferme's whole baby fish or delicious tempura prawns. Click here for more information.

Grei

Following in the footsteps of the giants that stomped the Saxon kitchen before it, Grei has kept its own as the new kid in a historic culinary site. At the helm is Candice Philip, an understudy of Luke Dale-Roberts during his time at the Saxon Hotel. Candice's hands on approach is what has kept the fine dining flag flying high in Joburg. The menu at Grei confesses a bespoke experience like no other. Dishes feature unusual pairings and natural, succulent flavours. The menu highlights the three key flavours from each dish and conveys a different colour with each course. The menu is a six-course tasting menu, paired with a combination of international and local wines. There is also be a non-alcoholic pairing option as well as vegetarian- and pescatarian-suited menus.
