Making waves - Africa’s biggest boat show! The WesBank National Boat Show displays a wide range of marine and outdoor activities. The WesBank National Boat Show - Africa’s premier boat show and the biggest event of its kind on the continent will take place at the Coca-Cola Dome at Northgate, Johannesburg, from the 18th to the 20th August. Heidi Warricker, MD of show organiser Biz Events comments, “With over 150 exhibitors, more than 200 boats on show and the largest variety of marine craft under one roof, visitors can expect to see the latest in marine innovations and the most up to date technology available,” she says. “Showcasing the latest in power boats, yachts, sailboats, water sports, marine accessories and other leisure activities, our exhibitors are seen as the blue-bloods of water sport, making the WesBank National Boat Show the ultimate showcase for what's new and exciting in the industry.” Besides showcasing luxurious speed, race and ski boats; sail boats and yachts; jet skis; personal watercraft; and other marine accessories, Warricker says the WesBank National Boat Show will also feature items of interest for those who prefer their thrills on land, including motorbikes; caravans and 4 wheel drives; fishing, holiday and camping accessories, as well as the ultimate in sporting and leisure goods. “While there is a strong demand for more sailing and yachting exhibits in this year’s show, visitors have also expressed an interest in associated leisure activities such as fishing, scuba diving and outdoor industries that compliment each other,” she says. By combining these pursuits with more conventional marine activities, the more than 30,000 expected visitors will be able to experience the widest possible range of water sport and outdoor activities available today. This year the WesBank National Boat Show will include Dive 2006, a pavilion dedicated to scuba diving gear and equipment, accessories, services, training and education, travel and destinations. Dive 2006 will add an exciting new dimension to the show, and its addition reaffirms the WesBank National Boat Show’s position as the most diverse and comprehensive show of its kind in Africa. The WesBank National Boat Show will be open on Friday, 18th of August from 11h00 - 20h00 and from 09h00 - 18h00 on Saturday, 18th and Sunday, 20th of August.
