The Pie Works was established in August 1994 after the founders noticed there were no kosher pies available for the Jewish community. This kosher restaurant not only serves pies but also has burgers, curries, pizza, pasta, homemade soup and homemade ice cream.
The Pie Works restaurant is under the supervision of the Johannesburg Beth Din, The Mehadrin Commission and is both non Chalav Yisrael and Chalav Yisrael.

I am not a kosher person but heard this place makes a good burger. So went to try and WOW what an awesome burger. Had the Man burger with a patty and a steak in the bun. I will certainly be there...
