The Polar Bear Swim

During winter, the last thing we want to do is go swimming. But the Rouble Table Rivonia dares you to swim in Emmarentia Dam for a good cause! Are you brave enough to take on the challenge?

What Is It?

It’s time to freeze for a good cause! Get your speedos and cozzies out, grab your tickets and head to the Emmarentia Dam for the Round Table Polar Bear Swim. This is a 50m swim to help raise funds as well as awareness for the homeless and destitute. Hosted by Dabulumanzi Canoe Club, this will be a unique day out, complete with swimming, food and giving back to the community. If you’re not willing to brave the cold water, then you can donate R50 towards the purchases of blankets, which will be given to the homeless. After all the excitement is over, you can spend the afternoon strolling through the park or picnicking with your loved ones.

When Is It?

Saturday, 08 July 2017 from 10:30 to 13:00.

Where Is It?

Emmarentia Dam, Olifants Road, Emmarentia, Johannesburg.

How Much Is It?

Tickets cost R100 per swimmer and R50 donations that will go towards buying blankets. Tickets are available at Webticket.
