05 November 2022 marked two milestones for the floral and gift delivery company, Petal and Post. Locals were invited to attend their sixth birthday celebration as well as the opening of their new Joburg store at 44 Stanley in Milpark.
Petal and Post Opens Their Joburg Studio
Flowers, food, and a pop of pink decor! We could not pass up the opportunity to attend the launch of their brand-new bespoke studio. Guests had the opportunity to chat to Kim, the director of Petal and Post, as well as Claire, who is currently managing the Joburg branch whilst sipping on MCC from de Grendel. Goodie bags, socialising, buying flowers, and having a glance at the studio were the order of the day! In store, patrons can find gourmet products and snacks that are perfect for gifting, as well as beautiful, bouquet arrangements. They also have an online store, where customers can shop from the comfort of their home. A Blossoming Business Idea
Petal and Post is the brainchild of Kim du Plessis, who currently resides in Cape Town. Kim discovered her passion for floristry after years in the urban planner industry. The first concept store was launched in 2016 and the rest – as they say – is history! Although, there has previously been a branch in Joburg, it’s safe to say that the blooming good business has found a new home. Petal and Post Posies are currently brightening up South African homes in three major cities: Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.
Same Day Flower & Gift Delivery
The company sources only the freshest seasonal flowers from local farms around the country. Each week, patrons look forward to an email or social media post ,where a new posy or bouquet is showcased and can be ordered. According to the website, they take orders until 14:00 or until they're sold out. If the order is accepted, then recipients receive their bouquets in the afternoon. There's also a pre-order option, where you can secure a posy for any day in the future. Flowers range from R320 per bouquet. They also offer a posy subscription for the green fingers who want fresh flowers every week, fortnight or month! You can view this service here.
