Level Up Your Weekend at rAge Expo!

Joburg Admin / October 30, 2025

Get ready, Joburg. The really Awesome gaming expo, better known as rAge, is back! South Africa's most iconic gaming and technology event touches down in a new event space at Fourways Mall this 5-7 December.

Expect an unmissable 3-day weekend of adrenaline-pumping action, cutting-edge tech, and entertainment that caters to geeks, gamers, curious newbies, families and friends. This year's rAge isn't just a place to play. It's where gaming and tech come alive!

Cosplay takes the spotlight, with six epic competitions hosted by GES that showcase creativity, flair, and community spirit. Every corner of cosplay is celebrated from the high-stakes Annual Cosplay Competition to the high-energy Lip Sync battle, Masquerade Parade, and Padawan category for kids.

There are even photography challenges for behind-the-lens creatives, making this year's programme more inclusive and electrifying than ever. For the competitive crowd, expect a packed esports lineup, featuring a multitude of tournaments that test reflexes, strategy, and team synergy.

Whether you're competing or cheering from the sidelines, the five esports stages will be buzzing. There's a ton more to get excited about, too: Artist Alley, anime vendors, and new exhibitors bring plenty to explore and to shop.

rAge 2025 offers the perfect mix of gaming thrills and lifestyle chills. As a bonus, there are restaurants, stores, and hangout spaces just steps away in the mall itself. Whether you're looking to compete, cosplay, browse or binge, rAge is where your world gets bigger.
