Kid-Friendly Restaurants In Joburg

Document

Want to go out for a meal and take the little ones too? We know how tough it can be to find a kid-friendly restaurant. So, to help you, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourites.

Going out to eat with the bambinos can be challenging. So here’s our list of kid-friendly restaurants that we’d like to share with you.

Bambanani

This restaurant in Melville completely revolves around kids. There’s nothing like it in Joburg. Catering for children from 6 months to 12 years, Bambananihas a safe play area with a four-story covered jungle gym, a dress-up area, a sandpit, a games room with PlayStation, Wii, Xbox and a library full of books for all ages. Your little ones are watched over by full-time childminders so you can relax and enjoy your meal.

The Fat Olive

What do kids do when they hear jumping castles, canoeing, animal farmyard and climbing trees? Well, we imagine they go completely crazy with excitement because that’s simply kiddie paradise. So go and explore The Fat Olive country restaurant in Lanseria. While they burn the energy off, you can relax with a glass of sparkles or a cup of tea as you gaze at the dam and the distant mountains from the deck.

Kid-Friendly Restaurants

Papachinos

Papachinos has awesome pizza and the kids can even make their own. How many children do you know who hate pizza? None! So now you know where to go. If you’re not convinced, they also have burgers among other kiddies’ goodies on their menu. Plus, a rad play area for them to work off the sugar from their delicious milkshakes. There are several branches in Joburg, find yours on their website. A super popular destination when it comes to Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Joburg, Papachinos will have the little ones entertained for days.

AJ’s In The Park

When it comes to play areas, there isn’t one quite like at AJ’s in the Park. This restaurant is tucked into the sports club of Craighall Park and has a play section packed with jungle gyms, slides, swings, jumping castles, you name it. And loads of space for kids to run free on the field, safely, and with childminders keeping a beady eye. So take off this weekend and enjoy some fun in the park. Did we mention they have banging pizzas and burgers?

Munch Café

For scrumptious food and drinks, take yourself and the little ones to Munch Café. With a kiddies menu to excite any child, you won’t have to bribe them to finish a plate at this place, that’s for sure. They’ve got fish fingers, a variety of pizzas and even a Baby Breakfast and French toast. The branch we know at Crowthorne in Kyalami has a play area.

Happily Ever Laughter

This boutique restaurant and party venue in Bedfordview is known for quality food and children’s entertainment. They have a unique fantasy playground with little toadstool houses, colourful slides and a tricycle track that will keep kids happy for hours. Happily Ever Laughter is also popular for kiddie parties, christenings and even corporate functions, so they offer a great combination of child-friendly AND adult-friendly. Happily Ever Laughter is one of our favourite Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Joburg.

Gia’s On Montrose

Imagine sitting under the trees, enjoying a delicious coffee, while the little ones are off playing. Gia’s on Montrose is an amazing restaurant that swaps ceilings for trees and nature. The kids will love the play area and so will Mom and Dad because it’s enclosed and safe. You can also enjoy the nursery because nothing beats the calming effect of flowers and plants. It’s also one of those rare gems that serves hearty breakfasts and lunches the entire day.
