CLOSED DOWN: Meet The Pick ‘n Pay Good Food Studio

Document

The Good Food Studio isn’t just about Pick ‘n Pay’s love for food but sharing that passion with you.

PLEASE NOTE: The Pick ‘n Pay Good Food Studio has closed down and no longer hosts cooking classes to the public.

The pinnacle point of the Good Food Studio is all about cooking in delicious style. If you’re into bettering yourself in the kitchen – or learning from scratch for that matter – then start with the best ingredients, sourced both locally and abroad, and then let the Good Food Studio help you cook and bake them in style—using SMEG appliances and the most cutting-edge cooking studio any foodie would want… oh so fancy, wouldn’t you agree?

Good Food Studio

Top Notch Teachers

One of the most exciting and cutting edge attractions at the Good Food Studio (that’s not their impressive collection of German chef knives), is their commitment to showcasing the best local and international chefs, who will share their unique flair, skill, and passion for cooking with you. The Good Food Studio will bring you the latest cookbook launches and give you a chance to meet the authors, and hold special classes with the chefs so that they can share their knowledge and wisdom. But of course the Good food Studio has a standard curriculum as well as other classes that change according to what’s hot in the food world right now.

Good Food Studio

A Studio To Die For

When you arrive in the Good Food Studio, you’ll be greeted warmly by their well trained and caring receptionist, Annelise and have a chance to order a coffee or other refreshing drink from their stocked bar and browse through the library of baking, frying, braaing, and baking books. The auditorium is used for demonstrations by guest and celebrity chefs or can be used as a boardroom area for training before moving on to one of the Good Food Studio’s modern, beautifully fitted kitchens for a hands-on cooking class. A smaller kitchen that hosts between 8 and 16 guests for more intimate, specialized classes and a larger kitchen that can host up to 24 guests for a more relaxed, fun filled experience.

The Pick ‘ Pay Good Food Studio formal dining area overlooks the river from a balcony and can seat up to 24 people. It can be screened off to create a private area and is ideal for book clubs, tea parties, food shoots, directors’ lunches or any other occasion where good food and style meet.
