Gillooly’s Farm

Situated in Bedfordview, Gillooy’s Farm provides a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Picnic and braai facilities are available on this 44 hectare piece of land. There are also walking trails, recreational areas for children and a wonderful waterside restaurant (Mrs Sippi Blues). The Farm has an array of bird species such as the White-breasted Cormorant, Reed Cormorant, African Darter and Grey Heron to name a few. Apart from the birds, the farm also has a large man-made lake, which is home to a number of fish species like the Common Carp, Blue Kurper and Sharptooth Catfish (Barbel).

    I trust you are doing well

    If I would like to arrange a bring and braai , picnic arrangement for a group of 50 to 60 people including children at Gillooly’s Farm on the 1st of April

    How do I go about this?

    Please advise if I can book off an area or do we just arrive or please advise how I can arrange this.

    I have a group of 100 employees and we would like to bring our own drinks and food to braai at your facilities.
    Is this allowed and if yes, what procedures would we need to go through?

    Also need to find out if the facilities can be used for team building games if we were to hire a team building facilitating company for the activities?

    I have a group of 105 employees and we would like to take them to Gillooly’s Farm for our year end function on 1 December 2017.

    Please confirm the following:

    • Can we bring our own drinks and food to braai.
    • Is there a braai area for everyone to braai their meat?
    • Is there an entry fee at the Gillooly’s Farm, if so please confirm how much
    • Please could you let me know what process we need to follow to book as well as what time we can arrive and leave.
