Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom has been entertaining guests since 1974. Known as the home of the medieval feast, Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom is a top wedding and occasions venue. If you’ve always wanted a medieval-themed birthday party or wedding, then this is the place for you. Jesters, knights, lords and ladies of all kinds are welcome to come and indulge in a magnificent feast, complete with a goblet of mead and first class entertainment.

Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom offers its guests the chance to dress up, dance about and have a merry old time. If that sounds like your idea of a night out well spent, read on to find out what other activities and events Greensleeves has available:

Saturday Night Merriment

Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom comes alive on Saturday nights with feasting, merry-making and dancing. Join the Baron and his Troubadours for a medieval feast, just like they did in good old King Henry’s days. You’ll be transported right back to 1521 as you enter Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom. They offer over 500 different costumes to choose from, to really get you into the medieval spirit. Guests are also welcome to wear their own costumes, as long as they fit the theme of the event.

Once you’ve chosen your role for the evening, you’ll be escorted to the dining hall where the fun and feast begins. Greensleeves serves a four-course medieval-inspired menu that includes pottage (seasonal vegetable soup served with home baked cracked wheat loaves) and spit roasted “chyken”. The restaurant also caters to vegetarian, vegan, and Halaal dietary specifications. The medieval feast continues well on into the night, with entertainment provided by the Baron and his minstrels. The audience is expected to participate, so make sure to warm up your singing voice with a goblet or two of Mead.

Once the feast has been concluded and the baron retires to his chambers, guests are invited to the take the floor. Greensleeves resident DJ will bring you right back into the 21st century to wind up a night of good fun. There is luxury accommodation on-site too, for those who wish to stay the night. You’ll be awakened with a delightful picnic breakfast basket to help clear your head and get you back on your horses. Sounds like an epic weekend adventure to us.

The Baron Deli & Co.

Outdoor dining has become the new go-to in post-pandemic times. The Baron Deli & Co. opened just before hard lockdown hit in 2020. It has become one of the top spots for wood-fired pizza, burgers and ribs in the Cradle of Humankind. Outdoor enthusiasts and cyclists love the restaurant for its early morning breakfast offerings, while those looking for an outdoor escape come to enjoy the restaurant’s signature grazing boxes out in the lush gardens.

The Baron Deli & Co. is the ideal spot to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the summer months, their swimming pools offer hours of endless fun for the kiddies. The restaurant also supports local traders by stocking seasonal vegetables, eggs and cheeses at their deli.

Their heat-and-eat meals are a treat, too, especially during those inevitable extended lockdowns. Pop by the Baron Deli & Co. as soon as you can to get your hands on fresh produce and frozen essentials.
