Eat

Rivonia is known for its wide variety of restaurants, from Thai and Vietnamese food at Saigon to African food at Asanka. If you're looking for an eatery with a decent wine cellar, then check out the fusion restaurant Browns of Rivonia. You can also get your fill of real Italian food at Polpetta. All of these restaurants are open until pretty late, so if you're keen for a decent sit-down meal then Rivonia is the place for you.

Party

When it comes to partying like you are part of the bourgeoisie, Rivonia is the place to go. From its fancy lounges to its award-winning nightclubs, this truly is the hangout of the rich and famous. Movida Over weekend nights, Movida offers an unrivalled party experience with a unique and unmistakable ambience. The venue is always buzzing with party-goers and it's the ultimate destination for birthdays and bachelorette groups. Look forward to top local and celeb DJs, high-impact cabaret shows, speciality acts and Movida's very own brand of party extravagance. The layout of the venue is superb with décor that is both rich and inviting. Comfy couch sections, VIP booths, lounging areas, a central dance floor and three bars scattered around the venue make it attractive to a diverse and mature crowd. Sankayi This lounge and bar is an upmarket venue that specialises in live African and Latin music. The club is open from Wednesday to Sunday with karaoke on Wednesdays, Ladies Night on Thursdays, club nights on Fridays and Saturdays, and an African buffet on Sundays for dinner. Madison Avenue What used to be Manhattan's has been renamed to Madison Avenue. This hot spot boasts eight bars including a shooters bar, ladies-only cocktail bar and a smokers bar. The music pumps through state-of-the-art sound equipment playing a wide and varied range of music, from current hits to old classics, spun by Johannesburg's top DJs. Manhattan's is a pretty cool place... wait. Madison Avenue. This is going to take a while to get used to. Madison Avenue is a pretty cool place. That's it.
