Mayfly Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge

The Mayfly is a favourite to many returning travellers who drive through the Dullstroom countryside. You can expect everything from cheesy pizzas, steak cooked to perfection and highly recommended oxtail. Other than the impressive portions, the service is great and the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. You’ll feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you walk in. Duck & Trout, Dullstroom

The Village Angler

There are usually two reasons why we escape the city and head to Dullstroom: to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or we want to get away and do a little fishing! Winter is the best time to fish in Dullstroom and if you’re looking for the best possible flies, rods and fishing gear, then you need to visit the Dullstroom Village Angler. If you’re lucky, you might get to hear a few exciting and thrilling fishing tales while you’re there.

The Clock Shop

If you consider yourself a horophile (a collector of watches, clocks and other timekeeping devices), then you’ll most definitely want to pay a visit to the Clock Shop, home to the largest selection of clocks in one location in the southern hemisphere. There are over 7 000 different designs to be seen, along with grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks and beautiful, antique family crest clocks. Even if you’re not looking to take home a few clocks, this store offers a great experience. Where else in the country will you ever see this many clocks in one space?

Dullstroom Riding Centre

There’s no better way to explore the countryside than on horseback and at the Dullstroom Riding Centre you can do just that. You never really understand how majestic and beautiful birds of prey are until you’ve seen them up close. At the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at these beautiful birds. The centre aims to educate visitors about these amazing birds and to promote their well-being and preservation. You can also expect to see amazing flying displays that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
