Have a love for milkshakes? Then you need to make a stop at Udderlicious Milkshake Bar, a haven for dairy lovers looking for a delicious treat. This spot offers a huge variety of flavours to choose from – 40 flavours to be exact – from the classics (vanilla, chocolate, lime and bubble gum) to milk tart and even Ferrero Rocher. If you’re looking for a bite to eat before heading back on the road, they also serve delicious light meals.

For country fine dining at its best, make sure you pay a visit to Art of Food on Naledi Drive. This gem of a restaurant is just the place if you’re in the mood for amazing cuisine, no matter what time of the day. There are usually two reasons why we escape the city and head to Dullstroom: to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or we want to get away and do a little fishing! Winter is the best time to fish in Dullstroom and if you’re looking for the best possible flies, rods and fishing gear, then you need to visit the Dullstroom Village Angler. If you’re lucky, you might get to hear a few exciting and thrilling fishing tales while you’re there.

The Clock Shop

If you consider yourself a horophile (a collector of watches, clocks and other timekeeping devices), then you’ll most definitely want to pay a visit to the Clock Shop, home to the largest selection of clocks in one location in the southern hemisphere. There are over 7 000 different designs to be seen, along with grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks and beautiful, antique family crest clocks. Even if you’re not looking to take home a few clocks, this store offers a great experience. Where else in the country will you ever see this many clocks in one space?

There’s no better way to explore the countryside than on horseback and at the Dullstroom Riding Centre you can do just that. There are a number of trails that cater to guests both young and old, no matter what their experience level, whether they’re first-timers or experienced riders. Take your pick from a one or two-hour ride through the country and enjoy the magic and beauty of Dullstroom by horseback.

The Anvil Ale Brewery

Being out in the country can be hot and tiring, so why not enjoy a refreshing beer and a relaxing afternoon at the Anvil Ale Brewery. Here, you can enjoy a craft beer tasting where you can sample up to nine different beers (including a cherry cider), delight your taste buds with some German cuisine and even do a little beer shopping if you would like to take some favourites home with you. At the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at these beautiful birds. The centre aims to educate visitors about these amazing birds and to promote their well-being and preservation. You can also expect to see amazing flying displays that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
