On Sunday, 16 June, join the event organisers at the renowned Troyeville Hotel’s Rooftop venue to commemorate Youth Day with two of South Africa’s most loved and celebrated live music outfits: The Black Cat Bones (from Johannesburg) and The Nomadic Orchestra (from Cape Town).
The event runs from 13:00 to 18:00, with an admission fee of R150 (kids under 14 enter for free).Expect top-quality live entertainment, lots of specials at the bar, safe and secure parking, and a good time. There will be a DJ afterparty and a band merchandise hamper lucky draw.
The Black Cat Bones is a multi-genre conglomerate of likeminded music makers from Gauteng, South Africa. Founded by Andre Kriel in 2007 and completed by Gareth Wilson (vocals), Gareth Bunge (drums), and Casey Rothman (keys & bass), their captivating performances and diverse repertoire have put them in a class of their own. They have evolved from sub-culture champions to a group adored nationwide by a constantly expanding, loyal following from all walks of life.
Nomadic Orchestra is a five-piece instrumental dance band based in Cape Town. The primary goal of Nomadic Orchestra is to get people moving. The band creates an infectious kind of high-energy dance music that even the most prudish find themselves unconsciously tapping their feet to.
