The Melrose Arch Gallery’s Wine Wednesdays
Are you an art and wine enthusiast? Then don't miss out on the Melrose Arch Gallery's Wine Wednesdays, every Wednesday evening during the month of March. What To Expect at...
Joburg’s original artisanal halaal food and design market, returns to 1 Fox in Ferreirasdorp. The much anticipated market takes place between Saturday, 18 March and Sunday, 19 March 2023.
After Fehmida Jordaan saw a gap in the market, with little to no halaal food options at Joburg markets, she was inspired to start The Halaal Goods Market. What can guests look forward to should they attend? A myriad of food trucks, and mocktail bars each serving up gourmet halaal food. Guests can also expect to shop fashionable modest clothing, handmade crafts and natural beauty products.
Sample on a little of everything at the market from tacos to seafood to pancakes, bunny chows and don’t forget to try a koeksister! The Halaal Goods Market is child-friendly. According to their Facebook page, “The HalaalGoodsMarket may serve halaal but it is open to all so come out and enjoy the day, eating, shopping and meeting new people.”
Guests will also be able to laugh out loud with Jason and Nicholas Goliath who will be coming to HGM to perform on Saturday night at 19:30. Admission: R30 at the door, R20 online (ticket sales open soon).
Market hours: Saturday 10:00 – 23:00 and Sunday 10:00 – 18:00.
