This year marks the 4th instalment of the East Rand Gin Festival! So, save the date for Saturday, 6 May 2023.
The #ERGinFest is back – bigger and better than before! This year, they play host to over 50 vendors, according to their event page, this is their biggest festival to date! Attendees can expect only the best in terms of Gin and Spirit Distillers in the country including brands such as; African Spirit Distillery, Crooked Stick Craft Distillery, Distillery 031, Lalula Gin, Monks Gin, Old Packhouse Distillery, Porchie Gin and Sugarbird, Unit 43.
The Vinos aren’t left out! There is an array of wines and for the hops lovers you will be served some of South Africa’s best craft beers to enjoy! Standard tickets cost R220 per person and your ticket includes 3 tasting tokens to allow you to sample all the drinks on offer! The food on the menu has everything from Boerie Rolls to Pizza available, so come hungry!
Your entry to the event also gets you access to wine tasting at the Wine Garden. The garden is hosted by PB Liquor Merchants featuring wines by Boland Cellar, Perdeberg Wines and Excelsior Wine Estate. It’s not a festival without some music! The music line-up is to die for, featuring: Dale Schnettler (From Prime Circle) MC & The Drumjay Experience, Rubberduc and CrashCarBurn among other names.
The festival will be held at the Level 5 parking area at Emperors Palace so don’t worry about the weather as the event is indoors. You are advised to park at the Level 3 parking and find your way to the entrance. Limited seating will be offered so bring your camp chair just in case.
Please drink responsibly – arrange for a designated driver, use a driving service or stay over at the hotel.
