If you somehow make it past the cake and pastry display at the entrance to Walnut Grove, then page through their menu for a truly sweet surprise. Offering an all-day boulangerie, this acclaimed cake shop at Sandton City takes dessert for breakfast to another level all together. We recommend you try the Kataifi French Toast - sweet kitke bread soaked in a vanilla pod, cinnamon and nutmeg infused egg mixture, topped with a citrus and clove syrup with pistachio nuts and kataifi pastry, all served with fresh cream on the side! You may very well roll out of the restaurant, sugar coma well on its way, but we are sure it will be worth it.

Cut & Craft Bistro
We conclude this epic list with an unassuming curbside bistro located along Queen Street in Kensington. Cut & Craft is all about home-style family recipes, served with a smile. Their breakfast menu features a contemporary take on the classic flapjack stack - five fluffy flapjacks made just the way Grandma used to cook them, layered with cinnamon and cream and topped with pan-seared almonds, coconut and maple syrup. Yum!
