Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park

Document

Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park is only 5 minutes drive from the Fourways area. The farm is situated north of Johannesburg, close to the Lanseria International Airport and the Cradle of Humankind. The entrance to Croc City leads one into a well-stocked curio shop where one can get anything from souvenirs, crocodile oil lotion to crocodile meat products.

What will you do and see?

You will be given the opportunity to HOLD a baby crocodile as well as a variety of exotic snakes and even a tarantula. This makes for wonderful photo opportunities so don’t forget your camera! On display they have some of South Africa’s most venomous snakes, including the black and green mamba, boomslang and many more.

The guide will take you on an informative guided tour to see from small to the big crocs of over 5 meters in length. If you are lucky, you will also see a couple of tortoises roaming freely.

After the tour you can relax in the tea garden that serves light lunches, while the kids play in the shaded play area.

Operating hours and entrance fee

Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park are open 7 days a week, from 09h00 till 16h30, including public holidays with guided tours in either English or Afrikaans. The entrance fees are R55/adults, R45/pensioners and R30/kids (under 12).

On Saturdays and Sundays at 14:00 we feed the crocodiles and at 10:30 on Sundays we have a venomous snake show, where the brave at heart can touch a puff adder.

It also makes for a refreshing birthday party venue, where you leave with fond memories of the amazing creatures. Some of the images alongside were taken at my nephew’s 7th birthday party. Funnily enough, the kids were less scared of handling the python than the adults! – Shaun
