We have a weakness for all things Lou Harvey. If you’re not familiar with this lovely brand, Lou Harvey makes everything from cosmetic bags, purses and nappy bags to cooler boxes, iPad covers, totes and beach bags in wild, bright, super-fun and funky prints.
All so beautiful, it makes choosing really difficult as we discovered when we popped into the Lou Harvey store at the Parks Shopping Centre to see what was on offer.
While the store is small, it still manages to be overwhelming (in a good way) because it’s literally jam-packed – every corner is filled with something fabulous! If you’re not into bold patterns, there are fabrics with black and white geometric shapes and animal prints that are stylish without being overstated.
For moms of baby boys, Lou (yes, she is a real person), who has her own little man, realised that there was a need for more ‘boyish’ designs, so you can find items in blues, greens and yellows.
There really is something for everyone and we’ll let you in on a little secret – the next time you’re stuck for a gift idea (it can be totally for yourself), pop into Lou Harvey and go wild. Look out for the unique clutch cosmetic bags, which can double up as clutch bags. No wonder Lou Harvey has gone global – everyone finds her designs to-die-for!
