The Hillbrow based NGO, Dlala Nje brings something exciting to the top of Ponte City called 5101. The venue will function as a for-hire events venue, exhibitors' space and party spot.
Dlala Nje CEO Michal Luptak told the media that one of the goals for the venue is to immerse patrons in the glory days of the famous Ponte apartments and fitting with Dlala Nje's goal from the get-go to re-introduce people to the inner city.
5101 used to be Dlala Nje co-founder and eNCA reporter, Nickolaus Bauer's apartment, (from where Nick took that amazing photo of a storm approaching the city pictured below). Since then, Dlala Nje developed a vision of re-creating the triple storey penthouse apartments which the building was known for during the 70s.
