So, tell us a little bit more about yourself, your team, and what kind of events you’re involved in? Jillian: Zebra Square specialises in strategic marketing and PR, which generally will culminate in a unique event such as the one we hosted recently for the Estee Lauder - the Look Good, Feel Better Breast Cancer Campaign. The rewards of an event of this nature are that we have the opportunity to raise funds for the month of October, using the prestigious Hyde Park Corner as a platform to exhibit art pieces donated by various artists and galleries, spearheaded by Tharina Gordon, our generous patron of this event. What are you most passionate about? Jillian: Travelling. It’s food for the soul, it entices the senses, and educates the mind. I agreed with someone who once said: “travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”. What was the defining moment in your career? Jillian: Realising that the SA Style Awards is 20 years old, and how, over the years, we have showcased the glamour, success and unmistakable sense of style of so many South African personalities who have made their mark in South Africa and abroad. A sad loss was the effervescent Top Billing presenter, Simba [Mhere], who lost his life in a motorcar accident earlier this year. He certainly made his mark at an early age. What’s your favorite spot in Joburg to have business meetings and why? Jillian: Hyde Park Corner - we handle their PR and events, and find ourselves there on a daily basis. LIFE GRAND Cafe is also a favourite and Monday night sushi at Willoughby’s. What are your words to live by? Jillian: I recently posted this Instagram – “Every morning you have two choices, continue to sleep with your dreams, or wake up and chase them.”
