Joburg audiences are in for a treat this April, as the UJ Arts & Culture centre presents its first-ever UJ Weekend of Stand-up! UJ Arts & Culture partners with GOLIATH AND GOLIATH to bring the biggest and newest names in comedy to the University of Johannesburg for a three-day weekend festival.
A comedy marathon featuring 25 of South Africa’s hottest up-and-coming comedians will take to the stage, with five minutes each to prove their worth. This rapid-fire show includes the likes of Gilli Apter, Lindy Johnson, Lihle Msimang, Tsitsi Chiumya, Eric Jansen, Bongani Dube, Q Dube, Kedibone Mulaudzi, Gino Fernandez, Wazi Kunene, Vuyi Xaba, Punch Gasela, Bexta, Isuru Jenasena, Andrew Mac, Gavin Kelly, Cobus Van Rensburg, Thabiso Mhlongo, Abuti Lolo and Claudine Ullman and many more!
UJ Arts & Culture is also excited to host South Africa’s best friend's of comedy, the multi-award-winning comedians Jason, Donovan and Nicholas Goliath, who will headline the UJ Weekend of Stand-up! In a one-night-only performance, this formidable comedy act will deliver a repertoire of on-point material that will leave audiences in stitches.
