The Annual Dean's Concert, one of the University of Johannesburg’s most anticipated events, returns this 1 November! Presented by UJ Arts & Culture, a division of FADA, and led by Professor Federico Freschi, this year’s concert marks UJ’s 20th anniversary.
View The Event Here!Since 2016, the concert has paired celebrated musicians with emerging talent to support a bursary fund, established by Professor Freschi. This fund assists academically deserving students with limited financial resources.

Professor Freschi, affectionately known as the “Singing Dean,” once again directs the evening with acclaimed pianist and composer Christopher Duigan. The program features both new voices and beloved favourites you'll love.
Cape Town-born soprano Yolisa Ngwexana, who has captivated audiences worldwide with London's English National Opera, brings international flair! Look forward to arias and duets from Verdi’s La Traviata alongside Professor Freschi.

The award-winning UJ Choir returns with its signature repertoire, blending African and Western choral music. The evening also features an art auction supporting the bursary fund.
“This concert embodies our belief that great art and great purpose are inseparable,” says Professor Freschi. Christopher Duigan adds, “It’s an evening of music that uplifts, inspires, and honours our commitment to supporting students.”
This is set to be an incredible evening. Get your tickets now!
