Thava is another one of our favourites, especially if we're in the Norwood side or walking about Montecasino of town on a chilly day. Their menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian, lamb, chicken and seafood dishes, along with classic and fragrant curries, biryanis, stews, spicy tandoori and masala dishes. The curries are amazing, and you'll definitely want to mop up every last bit of sauce with their traditional breads or rice. Usually after a meal of spicy goodness, some sweet Indian temptations or a specialty coffee goes down nicely.

Chilli & Spice in Craighall Park is worth a visit (but in this case, an online order). The food is good, the hot stuff is definitely HOT (then again, medium is also HOT for some of us) and the vibe is awesome. We've heard that this spot is in the lead for the best biryani in the city.
