The Forum Company Kick start the Heritage Day celebrations on Tuesday, 23 September 2014 at the notorious 1920s Heritage building, Turbine Hall. The Warm Up Jozi Heritage Day Rooftop Party The Warm Up Jozi Heritage Day Rooftop Party in Maboneng is just the place to be if you are looking for a great way to spend your Heritage Day! This party is an initiative to make citizens of the city aware of the reurbanisation of Joburg by celebrating it through good music with sounds from their resident DJs, Phat Jack, 2lani the Warrior and Brian Blaq, great food and premium drinks. The Colour Run at Emmarentia Get out your running shoes, rally up your friends and family, and head down to Emmarentia Dam for the 5km Colour Run on Wednesday, 24 September 2014! Taking place at Bassline from 11:00 and 20:30, you'll catch an exciting line-up of local musical talent celebrating the diversity of the Shifty records catalogue over the last thirty years. The lineup includes live acts from Matthew van der Want, Urban Creep, Tony Cox, The Geniuses, Simba Morri and many more! One Heart Music Festival at Sacred Heart College The One Heart Music Festival at Sacred Heart College is the perfect Heritage celebration for both young and old. From 14:00 families and friends can take in the Legends of Jazz with live performances from Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, Paul Hanmer, Judith Sephuma, Simpiwe Dana and the Sacred College Choir. The festival will also include Marist Has Talent, and a National Brai Day challenge. During your five hour long trip, you will visit spots beyond the popular tourist hotspots, such as the magnificent Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, the Credo Muthwa Village and James Mpanza Sofasonke’s house in Orlando East.
