Top Live Music Venues In Joburg

Joburg Admin / March 2, 2016

live music venues Carfax Carfax is one of our favourite Jozi music venues because this super club has many faces. What do we mean by that? Well, sometimes they’ll host drum ‘n bass parties, whereas other times they’ll have both local and international acts on their stage – and when they do, so know you’re in for a good time! Where: 39 Gwi Gwi Mrwebi Street, Newtown, Johannesburg. For more information, click here. Rumours Lounge Rumours Lounge is a fantastic place to catch a live act and grab a bite! But you never know who will be gracing their stage – it could be a local act, it could be an international act…  so wear your dancing shoes and head on over there. Where: Valley Ln & Weltevreden Road, Cresta, Randburg, 2118 For more information, click here.

Arcade Empire

This Pretoria-based super club is a place where many a party has been held. Like a lot of the above-mentioned spots, all kinds of parties are thrown at Arcade. Things can get rowdy up in here but in a good way but you should see for yourself! Where: 265 The Highway Street, Pretoria. For more information, click here The Radium Beerhall The Radium Beerhall is an icon. It’s the second oldest bar in Joburg and has been well-preserved. Shows here are normally the ‘watch-while-eating-delicious-Portuguese-food’ type, but depending on who’s playing, they can get a bit wild! Hint: Order the prawns. Where: 282 Louis Botha Avenue, Orange Grove, Johannesburg. For more information, click here. The Good Luck Bar Located inside 1Fox – The Sheds, The Good Luck Bar is one of Joburg's rad live music venues. Having gotten their liquor license in 1895, it’s actually one of the oldest bars in the city! So keep an eye out to see who’ll be paying there and make sure you don’t miss out on a rad act. Where: 14 Alexander Street, Ferreirastown, Johannesburg. For more information, click here. Red Right Hand Music lovers, you can find Red Right Hand in Pretoria. This is one of Pretoria's bespoke music venues and is an independent spot that aims to bring live music and art to the Pretoria CBD. So, what are you waiting for? So show them some love and go watch a band there! Where: 22 Railway Street, Pretoria. For more information, click here.
