Day One
Start off your Hanukkah with celebratory musical classics by Sam Adler, Leo Low and Michael Isaacson. Songs include medleys such as
B'rakhot L'hanukka and
Ma'oz Tzur to name a few. There's a song for each day during the Festival of Lights, setting the mood with cheerful songs from the Old Country. Get your copy of
Hanukkah Celebration from Takealot.com.
Day Two
Follow the age-old tradition of giving gelt this Hanukkah. We suggest that you get your sweet fill of chocolate money from Woolworths or from one of our favourite
candy stores in Joburg, such as the legendary Dicks Sweets in Northcliff. Be sure to get quality chocolate gelt as we've found that unfortunately, some suppliers skimp on the good stuff.
Day Three
Take the gelt trinket full circle and throw a beautiful coin purse from
Frasers Luggage into the mix.
Day Four
Spoil your favourite people with
a handmade mohair bear named Ben. This lovely little thing is crafted by the skilful hands of Happiness@nr4 and is available through Hello Pretty.
Day Five
Fun for the entire family, the
Tangram bear puzzle is a beautifully designed and handcrafted challenge to enjoy during the Festival of Lights.
Day Six
Grab a
colouring poster by the Colour Jar and keep the kiddos occupied this Hanukkah.
Day Seven
Come along with Biscuit as he makes a beautiful menorah to celebrate Hanukkah. It's a great time for stories, songs, food and friends! Get your copy of
Biscuit's Hanukkah online at
Takealot.com.
Day Eight
Give back by donating to the
Mensch Foundation. It believes that we all have the power to make a difference whether big or small through our professional work, by volunteering our time or by offering financial or in-kind support.
