The Victory Theatre

Joburg Admin / June 30, 2008

IT’S THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME DOWN AT THE FRANKENSTEIN PLACE It’s the kind of deal that would have Rocky refusing to return to Transylvania! But you better hurry as it all ends on Thursday, 31st of July 2008. It’s two for the price of one on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at The Rocky Horror Show which is currently wowing audiences at the Victory Theatre. That means ticket prices start at a low R57.50 for the best show in town. And to sweeten the deal even more students (with a valid student card), children under 16 years of age and pensioners over 60 years still get a 50 percent discount. Those wanting to make a night of it can enjoy a fabulous three-course meal at the theatre’s wonderful Giovanni Pane Vino restaurant by simply adding R105 onto their ticket price or simply arrive and you can enjoy a pizza from as little as R38.00. There are also show-and-meal specials from Wednesdays to Sundays. Those purchasing R115 tickets can add the meal option and pay R216; R170 tickets are R261 with the show and meal special; R223 tickets are R300 and the R330 tickets go to R387 for one of Jozi’s best shows and a three-course dining experience. The Rocky Horror cast includes the brilliant Brendan van Rhyn as Frank’n’furter; Dominique Pacault as Magenta; Ryan Flynn as Brad and Lyall Ramsden as Riff Raff. Other popular theatre names include Mark Richardson (Dr Scott) and Neville Thomas (Narrator) in the largest ever cast to perform the show on a South African stage. The rebuilt Victory Theatre boasts four levels of secure onsite parking (at R10 per car) and an indoor/outdoor a la carte restaurant that can seat and cater for 460 people (the same capacity as the theatre). Best access to The Victory Theatre from the north is on the M1. Take the Riviera off ramp and go along 1st Avenue Houghton and at the T-junction at Louis Botha turn left and The Victory Theatre and secure parking is 150 metres down the road on the left after the BP garage. From the south you take the 1st Avenue Houghton turnoff. It’s the show you don’t want to miss. Call Computicket today on 011 340 8000 or The Victory Theatre on the number alongside for tickets. Get ready for Jozi’s biggest party!
