Arriving at this little gem is almost like stepping into a different world. Black and white striped tablecloths decorated the tables. Combined with tones of pink and flowers everywhere, it is the ultimate location for a catch-up, and of course, some photos to show that you were there. It is the perfect outdoor setting for coffee and a bite or slice of cake.
How It All Started
The Pink Piano started because of a gap in the market, says co-owner Chanelle van Wyk. The location already had a boutique, hair and beauty salon, and people always asked for coffee. The original concept was to provide coffee to our clients. “We started with two tables, and now we can accommodate almost 100 people.” The Pink Piano is still only a pop-up coffee shop but has evolved and grown since it opened in January 2021.
Go For A Bite
Ask about the available cakes and you are led to the beautiful exhibition, cakes so beautiful it is almost a shame to eat them. The cake is rich and decadent, so you will have to forget about the diet for a bit. On the average day, cake options included carrot, vanilla, red velvet, chocolate caramel, messy chocolate cake and a few more. Besides the sweet treats, they do serve food, like toasted sandwiches, croissants and even salads.
Speciality Drinks
It is difficult not taking photos of your drink when it arrives. Speciality drinks include several new takes on the original cappuccino, and even hot chocolate including a pink one decorated with glitter and hearts and marshmallows. The cookies and cream cappuccino have an actual cookie lid on top of the cup with cream and decorations underneath.
Instagram Worthy
It is not difficult to take beautiful photos when visiting The Pink Piano. A part from the beauty of the food and drinks, there are also plenty of spots on the premises for a few happy snaps. There are walls with wings, a floral arbour, a hanging chair, a flower decorated swing, and more. “We want visitors to sit in the garden and forget about time when they visit. People are driven by social media, so this is just another way of marketing,” explains van Wyk.

The future holds plenty of fun activities for you and your friends to get the creative juices flowing. Think art workshops, make up workshops paint nights, macaroon decorating classes, and more, basically anything creative that women can do together, explains van Wyk. “We want The Pink Piano to be an inspirational place to motivate not only women but people in general.”
