SMAC Art Gallery

Joni Brenner: Between you and me - Four Models in the Studio

Date: 21 May 2022 - 2 July 2022

SMAC Art Gallery in Parkhurst presents Joni Brenner's solo exhibition 'Between you and me: Four Models in the Studio' this winter. Brenner has worked with four long term male models since the mid 1990s. This exhibition catalogues Brenner's process and the encounters she has had with the four models over the last three decades. Her portraits function as maps too; tracing the passing of time and etching the reality of death into the life affirming medium of sculpture and stone casting. We have a feeling that this will be one of the best exhibitions of the season, carrying a gravitas and significance that few others achieve. Make sure to visit SMAC gallery this chilly season or you'll sorely miss out.
