Showcasing 75 original LEGO artworks created by Nathan Sawaya, this is an exhibit not to be missed. The Art of the Brick has attracted millions of visitors worldwide, and now for the first time, it’s Jozi’s turn to view these incredible LEGO sculptures.
Why go?
After a successful exhibition in Cape Town, The Art of the Brick is now moving to Joburg. Visitors can view amazing sculptures, all built with more than one million LEGO pieces. The artworks include the Sawaya’s most famous work, Yellow which was featured in Lady Gaga’s music video for her single G. U. Y, an incredible 6m T-rex skeleton which is constructed with over 80 000 LEGO brick, and LEGO recreations of some of the world’s most famous artworks, such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Venus de Milo and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
