The Ampersand Foundation - 21 Years Celebration Exhibition

What Is It?

The Ampersand Foundation has had an immense impact on the country’s fine art landscape. Over the last 21 years they have afforded visual arts practitioners exposure to the wider international arts landscape of New York. This September, the Ampersand Foundation presents their third ever Ampersand Fellows exhibition featuring works from Diane Victor, Paul Emmanuel, Gabrielle Goliath, Mbongeni Buthelezi, Penny Siopis, Nicholas Hlobo, Senzeni Marasela, Stephen Hobbes, Alan Laing and Heidi Fourie.  The Ampersand Foundation 21 Years Celebration Exhibition will be held at the UJ Art Gallery. This extensive show, curated by Gordon Froud, senior lecturer at UJ, is set to shine a light on the depth of South Africa’s artistic talent. Don't miss it!

When Is It?

The exhibition opens on Wednesday, 11 September 2019. It will run until Wednesday, 09 October 2019 at the UJ Art Gallery. **Curator Gordon Froud will conduct gallery walkabouts on Saturday, 22 and Saturday, 29 September  2019 at 11:30 and on Wednesday, 25 September 2019 at 13:00.
