We all know Linden is the culinary capital of Joburg (well, if you didn't, now you do), so it's only fitting that this suburb boasts a little Mexican restaurant with a big kitchen. But we're not here to talk about the food (although it's great). The tequila selection is small but good and swigging shots of agave juice is a ritual at El Jalapeño. Salsa
Salsa Mexican Grill is unique among Mexican eateries with their craft tequilas. They use a select batch of blue agave and infuse it with fruits and herbs and let it ferment for up to 25 days. You can also unleash the craft tequila brewer in you by going onto their website where they invite you to create your own tequila by playing with flavours and submitting your combination. You then stand a chance to have your unique tequila brewed, bottled and served at all their restaurants. Pretty innovative if you ask us.
