The Benoni Monkey and Bird Sanctuary is the ideal family-fun venue. There are a number of bird and wildlife species here, as well as a tea garden overlooking a stunning kids play area. So, the next time you're around the east of Joburg, swing by the Benoni Monkey and Bird Sanctuary. Here's just some of what the park has on offer.

Animal species galore

The Benoni Monkey and Bird Sanctuary is home to a variety of mammal, bird and reptile species. Some of their most popular attractions include alpacas, eagle owls and lemurs. You can also spot a number of primate species including Capuchin monkeys and Gibbons among their residents.

Come and learn all about these exotic species in a relaxed environment. Entrance costs R60 for adults and R40 for kids aged 2 - 16. The park is open daily from 09:00 - 16:30.

The Benoni Monkey and Bird Sanctuary also hosts regular events and market days. You can keep up to date with their events schedule by following them on Facebook.

Picnics & Play
