Askari is based on true events. The play tells the story of a group of freedom fighters and community activists who are turned into deadly assassins, double agents, informers and intelligence analysts. These stories of betrayal and death, redemption and forgiveness, are told through moving dance, music, and powerful storytelling. Askari is a political thriller written and directed by Sello Maseko. The production features the talents of Soyiso Ndaba, Abongile Matyutyu, Tiaan Slabbert, Monica Muller, Tshepiso Madikoane and more.
