Standard Bank Arts presents Gabrielle Goliath: "This Song is For..."

Joburg Admin / July 23, 2019

What Is It?

Gabrielle Goliath stole the show at the 2019 Makhanda National Arts Festival with her interactive video installation titled, "This Song is For". Winning her the Standard Bank Young Artist for Visual Arts award, the exhibition pays homage to victims of abuse. If you weren't fortunate enough to experience the exhibition at the NAF, visit the Standard Bank Arts Gallery from Friday, 26 July 2019. "This Song is For", offers spectators an immersive, sonic experience. Gabrielle Goliath created this work in collaboration with survivors of abuse and musical ensembles. As a result, the feelings evoked by the exhibition may surprise you, as they have many others. Needless to say, this won't be an experience you will easily forget. If you only see one exhibition in 2019, make it this one. We'll see you there. [embed]https://www.facebook.com/StandardBankArts/videos/2310134872369280/?t=1[/embed]
